Spring event: Which products Apple will present ... and which not
New tablets at last, but AI announcements and Macs will probably stay out: Our rumor roundup for the Apple event on Tuesday.

On Tuesday at 4 p.m. the time has come: Apple's "Let loose" spring event (German title: "Lass Dich frei") will take place. The keynote will once again take place as a recorded video, and the company has invited representatives of the press to Cupertino and London, who will probably be able to take a look at the announced devices straight away. All indications so far suggest that it will be an iPad event, from the event logo to hints from Apple boss Tim Cook himself.
What could be coming ...
Well-informed circles believe that Apple will show a total of two new iPad model series - plus matching accessories. Other innovations will have to wait, however, according to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman on Friday. Customers have been waiting for new iPad hardware since 2022. However, not all tablets will be updated by Apple on Tuesday. At the very least, there will be new iPad Pro models with 11 and 12.9 inches.
They will receive OLED screens for the first time and – allegedly already now – the brand-new M4 chip with AI features. Apple also wants to bring the iPad Air up to date with a new SoC, an additional 12.9-inch version and other minor adjustments. However, a mini LED screen (from the current iPad Pro) is not planned. Finally, Apple is said to have new Magic Keyboard products with an aluminum casing and another Apple Pencil with haptic feedback in the pipeline. Finally, there are also some hopes for the announcement of the European launch of the Vision Pro.
...and what rather later
What is not to come, however, are new versions of the standard iPad and iPad mini, even if they themselves are already grayed out. "End of the year" is a more realistic target here. New Macs and the presentation of the new AI functions that Apple is planning for its operating systems are also unlikely. These are planned for WWDC in June. New headphones – such as standard AirPods or AirPods Max 2 – are probably also still needed.
No matter what Apple will be showing on Tuesday, Mac & i will, as always, be reporting on every single new product with a live ticker and up-to-date reports. You can also look forward to the latest videos and reviews. Incidentally, Apple's keynotes are normally scheduled for 7pm. It is unclear why they are being brought forward this time.
